We are asking for donations to help us pay for some of Sarah's medical expenses. The money will be used for an intensive feeding clinic, specific therapies and follow up feeding therapies as well as special equipment not covered by insurance. Any questions, please email us at:

UPDATE 09/20/2010

Here are a few things we are hoping to do for Sarah:

1. IN PATIENT FEEDING CLININC: We are currently looking into taking Sarah to feeding clinic. Right now we are looking at place in Colorado and California. This would be as an inpatient and it would be one on one therapy. This is a very expensive cost due to not being covered by insurance either. However, in the long run, this will pay off because once she starts eating by mouth, she will no longer need the expensive formulas and feeding supplies and alot of her GI issues should start to clear up. She will start to gain weight and her overall health will improve. We still would like to have additional feeding therapies at home and/or at LIFE to help us help her begin to eat.
Take her to a homeopathic doctor. We want bloodwork done and analyzed to make sure she is healthy from all the drugs she has incurred and maybe even find some alternative types of medications for her GI tract. Even though the Blended Diet has helped her in over all health, for her sake she needs to learn to eat and enjoy foods like we all do.

She has shown vast improvement on supplements that
have been added to her feedings.
These are pretty pricey, but the benefits are amazing.
We have seen this work first hand.

Fish Oil
Hemp Oil
Melatonin
Probiotics
Vitamin B and C
Microlipids

Above are on going month to month supplements that have been proven to show such improvement on Sarah's over all health.

2. Additional  Therapy: We would like to have an additonal speech therapies at home and/or at L.I.F.E that the state does not cover to help her to start talking.

3. Aquatic Theapy: This too is extremely benificial for her entire body because it is nearly gravity free, it gets the blood to move faster, gives better range of motion and strethens her entire body.

4. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy:  (HBO) treatment is a form of therapy that some say resembles science fiction. It involves a child sitting in a pressurized air chamber while pure oxygen is administered at a
controlled pressure. HBO treatments usually last from 60 to 90 minutes per session.
Their maybe more than one session in a day.
The total number of sessions will vary, but it’s common
for treatment to start at 40 sessions over the course
of several weeks.

In studies, increased oxygen intake and tissue saturation has shown promising results for children with brain injuries:

  • Improved breathing
  • New blood vessel growth
  • Decreased swelling and inflammation
  • Deactivation of toxins
  • Strengthened immune system
  • Improve conative skills

This is a very expensive therapy, but its all worth giving a shot.
Please see this website and it gives all the
beneficial information.
